Privacy Policy

FastTrack ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the FastTrack intermittent fasting app (the "App"), available on the Apple App Store and Google Play.

1. Your Health Data Stays on Your Device

FastTrack is designed with a privacy-first approach. The health and tracking data you enter is stored locally on your device. We do not maintain servers that store your personal health history. The data kept on your device may include:

• Fasting start and end times and your fasting history
• Weight entries and body measurements
• Your goal, age, height, activity level and experience
• Fasting schedule preferences and app settings

2. Health Integrations (Apple Health and Health Connect)

With your permission, FastTrack may read and write health-related data such as water intake and energy through Apple HealthKit (on iOS) or Health Connect (on Android). This data is used only within the App to give you a more complete picture. We never sell, share, or use this health data for advertising or marketing, in line with Apple's and Google's health data policies.

3. Optional Account (Sign-in)

An account is optional and is not required to use the App. If you choose to sign in (for example, to restore a plan you started on our website), we use Firebase Authentication (a Google service) to manage your login, and we store your onboarding profile (such as your name, goal, and chosen fasting plan) in Firebase Firestore so it can be restored across your devices. We store only this profile, never your full fasting history, and we never sell it. You can delete your account at any time from within the App, which removes this cloud profile; see section 10, "How to Delete Your Data".

4. Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics (a Google service) to understand how the App is used and where it can be improved (for example, which onboarding steps people complete, or which features are used). These are anonymized, aggregated usage events. We do not send your health data, weight, or fasting history to analytics. On iOS, you can decline app tracking through the system prompt; analytics still works in an anonymized form.

5. AI Coach and AI Meal Ideas

When you use the AI coach or generate meal ideas, your question and a small, non-identifying context (such as your fasting plan and recent fast durations) are sent through our server to a third-party AI provider (OpenAI) to produce a response. This information is not linked to your identity and is not used to train AI models. Please avoid entering sensitive personal information in the chat.

6. Subscriptions

Optional subscriptions are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, and managed for us by RevenueCat. Payment details are handled by Apple or Google, not by us; we only receive your subscription status so we can unlock premium features.

7. Data Sharing and Selling

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third parties. We do not share your health data with advertisers or data brokers. The only providers that process limited data on our behalf are the ones named above (Apple, Google/Firebase, RevenueCat, and OpenAI), each acting as a service provider.

8. Children's Privacy

FastTrack is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.

9. Data Retention

We keep data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for. Because FastTrack is device-first, most of your data is never retained by us at all:

• Data on your device (fasting history, weight entries, meals and meal photos, your profile answers and app settings): kept on your device for as long as the App is installed. We do not receive or store a copy, so we cannot retain it. It is erased when you delete the App or clear its data.
• Account profile (only if you sign in): your name, goal and chosen fasting plan are kept in Firebase for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, the profile and the login record are deleted immediately, and any residual copies in Firebase backups expire within 30 days.
• Anonymised analytics events: retained by Firebase for up to 14 months, then deleted automatically. These events are not linked to your identity and contain no health data.
• AI coach messages and meal scans: your message or photo is passed through our server to the AI provider only to produce the answer. We do not keep a copy on our servers. The AI provider (OpenAI) may retain the request for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring under its API terms, after which it is deleted, and does not use it to train its models.
• Subscription status: kept by RevenueCat for as long as you have an account with us or an active subscription. Apple and Google keep their own purchase records under their policies, which we cannot delete on your behalf.

10. How to Delete Your Data

You can delete your data at any time, and you do not need to ask us to do it:

• Delete your account and everything with it (in the App): open Settings (the gear icon), tap Profile, then tap Delete account and confirm. This permanently deletes your cloud profile and your login, and also erases the fasting history, weight entries and meals stored on your device. It cannot be undone.
• Delete the on-device data only: uninstall the App. On Android you can also go to the system Settings → Apps → FastTrack → Storage → Clear data. Uninstalling does not delete a cloud profile if you created an account, so use the in-App option above if you have one.
• Ask us to delete it for you: email info@fastingtrack-app.com from the address linked to your account, with the subject "Data deletion request". We will confirm your request and complete the deletion within 30 days.

After deletion we keep nothing that identifies you. Anonymised analytics events that cannot be traced back to you may remain until they expire as described above, and purchase records held by Apple, Google or required for accounting are kept as the law requires.

11. Your Rights and Choices

Your health data stays on your device, so you control it at all times. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, export or restrict the processing of the limited data we hold, and to withdraw consent. You can exercise all of these by contacting us at the email below; we answer within 30 days and never charge for it.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
